On August 5th, Cellreturn revealed that research result on “skin improvement effects and safety of LED masks” is published in SCIE-class international journal, “Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology of Europe.”
Prof. Yoo Kwang Ho of the Chung-Ang University Hospital, P&K Skin Research Center, and Cellreturn’s technology development headquarter cooperated in this research.
The research team composed two groups of 22 women (of ages between 30 to 59) and had them use Cellreturn LED mask once per day for four weeks. The research was proceeded by comparing and analyzing to study skin improvement effects with one group using hyaluronic acid ampule and the other group using both the ampule and LED mask (red mode: red wavelengths+near infrared).
Compared to the group that used only the ampule, the other group that used both the ampule and LED masks for four weeks, showed about 2 to 3 times more excellent skin improvement effects in categories such as skin density, pores, and dead skin cells. As the researchers had confirmed significant differences in statistics between the two groups, they revealed the benefits of using LED masks for skincare.
“Cellreturn LED Mask Platinum,” which was used for the research, is a skincare device with a principle of low-level laser therapy (LLLT) method that induces Vivo activation by making light energy of low output to permeate into the skin. Because LED utilizes low energy, it is comparatively safer and causes lesser side effects than lasers.
"Cellreturn LED masks are Korea's first LED masks to be listed in SCIE-class international journals, and that we expect them to be recognized for their positive effects and expand the foundation for research on beauty technology using LEDs," a Cellreturn employee said, adding, "We will strengthen not only our R&D capabilities but also Cellreturn's global competitiveness by cooperating with experts outside the company."
