All-in-One Body Wash vs. Hair Shampoo, what’s the difference?

Many consumers feel troubled whenever they buy cosmetics. There are various types of cosmetics, but even products with similar effects have different names. Even if it’s a basic cosmetic product and is selected according to skin type and seasonal characteristics, all-in-one body washes, and hair shampoo, which are cleaning products, are always confusing. Should we use it separately from what the cosmetics companies say?

CARD 1. The vital goal of cleansers is “contaminant removal.”

Cleansing or washing is a process that removes contamination from an object's surface. At this, products used for cleansing purposes are called "cleaners (wash)," and most of them form bubbles around surfactants to remove contamination.

CARD 2

On top of that, cleansers often contain moisturizers and perfumes to provide lasting moisture and pleasant scents after washing. In other words, the first purpose of a wash is to remove pollutants, and moisturizing factors and specific scents are individual options.

CARD 3. Different ingredients between shampoo and all-in-one body wash

Then what's the difference between all-in-one body wash and hair shampoo, which are commonly found in stores? First, the all-in-one body wash is a product that cleanses from head to toe with literally one product, and it serves as a shampoo, body cleanser, and face wash.

CARD 4

How about shampoo? The shampoo also consists of surfactants, moisturizing ingredients, and fragrances similar to all-in-one body cleansers. However, the main difference between the two products is that shampoo contains "silicon" and "polymer" to form a light coating film on the hair to give it gloss and softness after washing.

CARD 5. Is shampoo only for washing the hair?

In other words, the option of maintaining soft hair is added to the cleaning function, but it is not much different from all-in-one body cleansers. Therefore, if you don’t have to keep long hair or have damaged hair, you can use an all-in-one body wash.

CARD 6

Then, is it okay to wash my body with shampoo? This may vary depending on the skin type. For example, if a person with excessively oily or acne skin cleanses the body with shampoo, acne may break out or worsen due to the remaining coating ingredients after washing.

CARD 7. Save time and money with all-in-one body wash.

So far, the main consumers of all-in-one body wash have been men and children. This means that the sales strategy has successfully understood that men tend to dislike inconvenience and prefer short hair. Also, the basic cleansing function is enough for children as they don’t need to coat their hair separately with chemicals.

CARD 8

In the past, the answer to the question, “Why don’t men take bath products when they go to a spa?” is because of their unique cleansing tendency of using just a soap. In the future, if you want to focus only on taking a clean bath, it would be good to save money and time with an all-in-one body cleanser.
