After the COVID-19 pandemic, hygiene management has become even more critical, leading to more consumers carefully selecting household items such as toilet paper. In line with this trend, TNI's toilet paper brand 'Pertama' has announced its entry into the Lotte Department Store Bundang branch following its supply to luxury hotels, aiming to bring its products closer to consumers.

According to TNI, 'Pertama' is made from 100% pure natural pulp toilet paper produced from trees cultivated without causing deforestation. The product material is sourced from natural pulp produced by Asia Pulp & Paper (APP), the world's fourth-largest pulp producer. Under the Indonesian government, APP harvests acacia and eucalyptus trees in the Sumatra and Java regions to produce pulp from seasoned wood chips. Notably, the pulp material is packaged without intermediate processing or additional chemical additives, allowing consumers to experience the inherent softness of natural pulp.

Furthermore, the product's pulp origin and adherence to environmental policies have been recognized by obtaining the 'INDONESIAN LEGAL WOOD certification' for ongoing forest management and conservation policies. This certification confirms the legality of timber by Indonesian government agencies, ensuring compliance with conservation and forest management policies applicable to paper, toilet paper, cardboard, tissue products, and other related items.

After this process, the produced 'Pertama' toilet paper has completed the KCL test certification, ensuring the absence of harmful substances such as formaldehyde, fluorescent bleaching agents, lead, cadmium, and mercury, allowing for safe usage. Additionally, steam sterilization at 450°C ensures hygienic use of the material, with minimal dust dispersion, making it suitable for individuals with conditions like rhinitis or respiratory diseases.

The 'Pertama' representative stated, 'Currently, Pertama is being used as room toilet paper and kitchen towels in top-rated 5-star hotels nationwide,' expressing delight in offering the product to more customers through this offline store launch. They added, 'We will continue to expand our business scope to deliver the value of Pertama to even more consumers in the future.'
