Installation at a local rehabilitation center and training and marketing for occupational therapists.
Curexo's walking rehabilitation robot 'Morning Walk' was outstanding in its capabilities in the United States.
Curexo announced that it had participated in the American Occupational Therapist Association AOTA EXPO 2022 (from now on referred to as AOTA 2022) held from March 31 to April 3 in San Antonio, Texas.
The American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) is a professional association established in 1917 to represent the interests of occupational therapists and related persons and to improve the quality of occupational therapy services. Currently, over 213,000 occupational therapists, occupational therapy assistants, and related students represent the professional interests of their students. It also carries out various activities to ensure the quality of occupational therapy services, improve consumer access to medical services, and develop members' professionalism.
About 6,000 participants from 201 companies and related parties at the AOTA 2022 exhibited such passion. Curexo, which participated in this event jointly with 'Harmonic Bionics,' a U.S. upper extremity rehabilitation robot company, exhibited and demonstrated the upper extremity rehabilitation robot 'Harmony HSR' and the lower extremity rehabilitation robot 'Morning Walk.'
An official from Curexo said that they introduced the unique features of the Morning Walk to the participants who visited the booth and distributed research literature on the Morning Walk to those who showed high interest.
They also stated that the local officials showed high interest in the unique features of the Morning Walk, such as a seated weight support system and footrest-based type. Moreover, the functions such as trajectory variable mode, speed variable mode, and section repetition training mode also attracted their curiosity.
They also expressed great interest and consent because both children and adults can easily use it through various virtual reality (V.R.) modes that allow more fun rehabilitation training.
Curexo is expected to increase its influence in the U.S. rehabilitation robot market starting with this event.
According to a Curexo official, the Morning Walk was installed in Spero Rehabilitation Center in Austin, Texas, the USA, after this event. Here, an official from Curexo conducted general training on the morning walk, such as product introduction and function explanation, for physical therapists at the rehabilitation center. In addition, a morning walk was installed at the Harmonic Bionics headquarters to provide education, experience, and marketing activities for those involved.
An official from Curexo said, "It was even more meaningful to directly showcase the distinctiveness of Morning Walk in the U.S., a large market. Thanks to this achievement, we will pursue more active marketing activities in the U.S. rehabilitation robot market in the future."
